What we collect
What you give us. When you request a guide, ask to be matched with a lake expert, or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you tell us about the lake or area you are interested in and whether you are buying or selling.
What is collected automatically. Like most websites, our host and analytics tools record standard technical data: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, and referring site. We use it to understand which content is actually useful.
How we use it
To send you the guide or information you asked for. To introduce you to a licensed real estate professional in your area when you have asked to be matched. To follow up with you about your request. And to send you lake-related content if you opted in, which you can stop at any time.
Who we share it with
This is the part that matters most, so we will be direct about it.
If you ask to be matched with a lake expert, we share what you gave us with the real estate professional we refer you to. That is the entire point of the request. MyLake.com may receive a referral fee if that introduction leads to a closed transaction. You never pay us anything.
We also use ordinary service providers to run the site and send email, such as hosting, email delivery, and analytics. They handle data on our behalf.
We do not sell your personal information.
Calls and texts
If you give us your phone number, you agree that we, or the agent we refer you to, may contact you by phone, text, or email about your request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.
Cookies
The site uses cookies for basic functionality and to measure traffic. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email. You can also ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@mylake.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top.
